Are the slain exes of Jeremy - Vicki and Anna - alive?

JP: They’re not literally back from the dead, but whether they’re ghosts or figments of his imagination will be answered in Season 3. Either way, they will complicatte the romance between Bonnie and Jeremy. But the girls are not just her to flirt - they’re going to have a greater purpose.

Does this mean you’ll be punching up Jeremy’s storyline?

JP: Yeah, and I think it’s time. Jeremy did a lot of growing up last season, and he is sick of being lef\t on the sidelines. Now he’s right in the middle of it.

When will we learn what Jeremy seeing dead people means?
Plec: We’ll get a good sense in the first episode or two how they’re manifesting themselves and where they’re coming from. As we get deeper into the season, we’ll start to understand that they have a compass and they have their own master plan. You’ll have to wait and see whether or not that’s a diabolical master plan, [but] I think the minute you get any supernatural entity dropping into Mystic Falls, somebody is going to be at risk. The question is: Who do you like more — the supernatural person or the human?
